In Partnership with 21 Strong and the Connecticut Down Syndrome Congress, the New Canaan YMCA is hosting the fourth annual World Down Syndrome Day from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 23.
The free event is open to the entire community and all ages and will feature bouncing bears, music, crafts, sports, games, Zumba, Tae Kwan Do and refreshments.
"We are looking forward to hosting this special event again honoring World Down Syndrome Day for the fourth year," Carolynn Kaufman, director of special needs programming, said. "The New Canaan Y's special needs department mission of `Everybody Belongs Here' truly comes to fruition at this event. We are proud to partner with 21 Strong to provide an event that celebrates individuals' abilities as well as inclusion."
