Superintendent of Schools Mary Kolek topped the list of New Canaan's 25 highest paid municipal and public school employees in 2013.
Kolek, who made $248,700, was among 20 school administrators to make the list. The other five employees were fire or police personnel.
Police Lt. William Ferry was the second highest paid employee with $200,143. New Canaan High School Principal Bryan Luizzi was third on the list with $181,526.
First Selectman Robert Mallozzi and Chief of Police Leon Krolikowski did not make the list. They earned $128,047 and $127,966, respectively.
The list includes all compensation paid by the town, including overtime, stipends and longevity. The wages are from the 2013 calendar year, which means it covers two contract periods since the town operates on a July to June fiscal year.
Among town hall employees, Chief Financial Officer Dawn Norton is on top with a $137,146 salary, followed by Director of Public Works Michael Pastore at $131,778 and Town Administrator Tom Stadler at $130,934.
Combined, the top six public school employees' wages cost the town more than $1 million.
