Since its founding in 1982, AmeriCares has delivered more than $11 billion of humanitarian aid to resource-constrained communities in the United States and around the world. AmeriCares provides relief to disaster survivors and offers long-term support to patients, practitioners and health care institutions. The delivery of medical aid is often coupled with technical assistance, direct patient services and project management.
Camp, a senior associate of Asia programs at AmeriCares, recently returned from the Philippines, where she was coordinating medical assistance for survivors of Typhoon Haiyan. She has a Master of Public Health from George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts in international affairs from Susquehanna University.
