Robert M. Paul, 52, of 4 Merritt St., Norwalk, was arrested April 7 on a charge of criminal violation of a restraining order.
The arrest stems from a 2013 family dispute on Harrison Avenue, New Canaan, according to police. The dispute led to the restraining order on Paul, who police said twice violated it in January.
On April 7, New Canaan police received a report that Paul was at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport and they went there to arrest him at 1:30 p.m., according to the report.
He posted $10,000 bond and was scheduled to appear in court April 8.
