Logan Christie, 28, of 218 Middlebrook Drive, Fairfield, was arrested Jan. 15 on charges of two counts of risk of injury to a minor, interfering with an officer, assault on an officer and disorderly conduct.
According to police, Christie was intoxicated while baby-sitting two toddlers at a Jelliff Mill Road home. When the toddlers' parents arrived home from work at about 7:45 p.m., they noticed Christie smelled like alcohol, according to the report. The parents called the baby sitter's brother and sister, and when they showed up at the house, Christie became angry and got into an argument with the parents, police said. At about 9 p.m., the parents decided to call the police.
When officers arrived, Christie became aggressive toward them, police said. When the officers were talking to her, she kept trying to get up but they repeatedly asked her to sit down on the couch, according to the report. At one point, she pulled away from an officer and then punched and kicked him, police said.
Police said her bond initially was set at $10,000, but it was lowered to $5,000 after bond commissioners interviewed her Jan. 16. She was held in lieu of the bond and was scheduled to appear in court Jan. 17.
