A 56-year-old male resident of Llewellyn Drive reported June 10 that his home had been burglarized.
The complainant told New Canaan police that he discovered a window pane in his back door shattered when he arrived at home at 6:20 p.m., and realized a burglary occurred, the report stated. There was evidence of ransacking and drawers were opened, according to the report.
The man was last in his home at 1:45 p.m. June 9.
He was unsure exactly what stolen, but was missing a bottle of Oxycontin pills and his wife's jewelry boxes appeared to have been emptied, police said.
The incident remains under investigation.
