James Hibler, 45, 33 Laurel Road, Pound Ridge, N.Y., was arrested June 13 on charges of reckless driving and disobeying the signal of an office.
According to New Canaan police, just before 3 p.m., Hibler drove through a work site at a high rate of speed and did not slow down for workers or a police officer directing traffic.
The police officer drove his patrol car after Hibler, the report stated, who entered the Merritt Parkway and did not stop when the officer turned on his lights. Hibler left the Merritt at exit 36, then stopped for the officer, police said.
He posted $250 bond and is scheduled to appear in court June 23.
