Among those organizing the wine and cheese tasting fundraising event, scheduled for Saturday, June 14, are, from left, Arianne Faber Kolb, co-director of the Carriage Barn Arts Center; Ben Bilius, Rotary Club of New Canaan; and Eleanor Flatow, co-director of the Carriage Barn Arts Center.

New Canaan Wine Merchants and the Connecticut Sandwich Shop will supply the food and beverages for a wine- and cheese-tasting event Saturday, June 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Carriage Barn Arts Center at Waveny Park.

A portion of the proceeds from the event will help support the Carriage Barn Arts Center and the Rotary Club's End Polio Campaign.

The Darien Cheese Shop is also participating.

Since 1985, Rotary International, along with the World Health Organization, the Gates Foundation and national governments throughout the world, has immunized 2.5 billion children and reduced polio cases by more than 99 percent, according to the organization.

During the fundraiser, the Carriage Barn Arts Center, home of the New Canaan Society for the Arts, will be exhibiting "Photo/synthesis," a collection of photographs by 15 artists.

The mission of the NCSA is to promote the visual and performing arts and to enrich the community through exhibitions, education and cultural experiences. The Carriage Barn Arts Center offers artists opportunities to exhibit their work in a 19th-century stone barn.

Tickets are $30 and can be purchased by visiting www.carriagebarn.org or calling 203-972-1895.
