The New Canaan Kiwanis Club's annual membership drive luncheon Wednesday, Dec. 11, will feature Police Chief Leon Krolikowski.
The luncheon takes place from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Roger Sherman Inn.
"We're so pleased that Leon will be able to spend some time sharing his valuable experience and insights with us at our annual membership luncheon," Kiwanis President Stacey Hafen said. "We hope many community members will stop by to learn more about Kiwanis -- who we are and what we do."
Kiwanis International is a coeducational service club founded in 1915. The Kiwanis Club of New Canaan, chartered in 1939 with the Norwalk Kiwanis Club as its sponsoring chapter, will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2014.
The club organizes three to four service projects each year, and provides grants to local nonprofits and to high school seniors. Annual dues are $540 per year and includes two lunches each month at the Roger Sherman Inn. Business meetings take place at the New Canaan Library the first Wednesday of each month.
The luncheon is free of charge, but to make reservations email Hafen at Stacey.Hafen@redcross.org. For more information about the club, visit www.newcanaankiwanis.org.
